Imagine yourself walking through a pine forest all by yourself. You experience the silence, the stillness, the wonderful scent of the tall trees that embrace you. Now picture Jesus coming up and walking right beside you. He gives you a big beautiful smile that lights your heart up and fills you with lasting energy and joy. Once this energy fills your whole body Jesus disappears. This experience comes to life at every celebration of the Eucharist. The Eucharist is the pinnacle of intimacy and when we are empty it is He who fills us. Then we can say with St. Paul, “It is not I who lives, it is Christ Jesus who live in me.” Have a most blessed week.

What a lovely meditation! I often think that when we receive Holy Communion we become a living monstrance bringing Christ out to the world as we leave the Church.
